Will data providers be responsible for ensuring their datasets don't violate intellectual property rights or contain personal information?

Each provider is responsible for the data assets offered in the LDS marketplace.

Upon joining, data providers are committed to accepting the LDS terms of service and are entitled to offer data products only if the are under full ownership of (or include clear distribution rights to) the stakeholder who is publishing the offer. However, the LDS Governance Body will not monitor all data assets.

At a later stage, there will be guidance and support in line with the LDS to help the stakeholders to keep their data asset in line with European rules and guidelines, but the ultimate responsibility will always remain with the data providers.
