What does CELT mean?

The Centre of Excellence for Language Technologies (CELT) is composed by Member State's government representatives.

On a strategic level, it will play a networking and aggregating role, as it will help in identifying and bringing together initiatives and stakeholders concerning language resources, data and models, and will contribute in spreading information about the LDS to public authoriies and ministries in each Member State and DIGITAL-affiliated countries – at a local, regional and national level.

Above this, the CELT will contribute to the development of the LDS Multi-Stakeholder Data and Services Governance Scheme, i.e., the set of rules defining access and (re-)use of language data and models in the LDS.
