The legal and technical helpdesks of the European Language Data Space (LDS) will support users during the testing phase and beyond, providing assistance regarding any questions or issues.
The legal helpdesk provides legal advice and assistance to all the stakeholders involved in the LDS, maintaining the legal requirements of the LDS in agreement with the EC. In more detail, the Legal Desk will provide guidance for legal questions related to the collection and sharing of language resources and language models, licensing schemes, Intellectual Property Rights clearance, Data Protection Requirements as well as confidentiality aspects. These may include:
- questions related to any kind of utilisation of language resources and language models in the LDS;
- legal LDS utilisation queries, e.g., user roles, how to exploit the LDS by clearing specific legal aspects, etc.;
- other legal questions.
Furthermore, the legal helpdesk supports the drafting of legal agreements as established in the Multi-Stakeholder Data and Services Governance Scheme, including data protection documents or data processing agreements, where required.
The technical helpdesk provides technical advice and assistance to all stakeholders involved in the LDS, providing first-line support to questions related to technical advice and assistance requests. These may include:
- general troubleshooting and assistance on the usage of the LDS;
- technical support for data providers, e.g., validation of the technical compliance of the provided data assets;
- exceptional LDS registration requests.
Furthermore, the technical helpdesk will support the drafting of functional agreements as established in the Multi-Stakeholder Data and Services Governance Scheme.
